As of 19.07.2024, 17:30: All USL services are available again without restrictions and function as usual. Borrowing is possible again, including requesting and collecting from open stacks.
What happened?
This morning a technical disruption prevented logging in to the library account. It was also impossible to log in to bonnus.
As a result, most USL services were temporarily unavailable. This affected requests and loans, renewals, all account functions, applying for and renewing library cards, the scanning service and the workspace reservation.
Despite the system failure, it was possible to return items at the loan department. It was also possible to use workspaces that had already been booked.
Possible context
The technical problem appears to be related to the worldwide IT outages that have affected airports, banks, media companies and hospitals since this morning.
Response
The USL team immediately informed the relevant parties. The problem has been treated with the highest priority.
