USL closing days
The Main Library and the MNL Branch Library will be closed during the following periods
- 12/23/2024 - 12/26/2024
- 12/31/2024 - 01/01/2025
Opening days with restricted opening hours between Christmas and New Year's
From December 27th to December 30th, 2024, the Main Library and the MNL Branch Library will be open daily from 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm. During this time, you can use our work and study spaces as usual and borrow and return books.
Restricted service during the opening hours
Please note the following restrictions that apply during the opening days between Christmas and New Year's:
- The information desk will not be staffed.
- E-mails will not be answered.
- Interlibrary loan orders cannot be provided.
- Orders from the USL's closed stacks cannot be provided.
- The Curtius Reading Room is closed.
- Orders from the old holdings cannot be provided.
- The media center in the MNL Branch Library remains closed.
In urgent cases, please contact medienzentrummnl@ulb.uni-bonn.de by e-mail. - It is not possible to apply for new library cards.
- Existing library cards can be renewed as usual, but there will be delays in processing.
Regular service from January 2nd, 2025
As of Thursday, January 2nd, 2025, the USL will return to its regular opening and service hours.
