Numerous Springer e-books permanently available as part of the E-Books.NRW initiative

Students, researchers and lecturers at the University of Bonn now have access to an extended range of e-books: All 8 of the German-language and 15 of the English-language specialist packages from Springer Nature (copyright 2025) are permanently available in full text.

Access options:

Members of the University of Bonn: The e-books can be accessed conveniently from home via a VPN connection¹.
External users: The titles can be accessed at the service PCs of the USL.

Promotion of digital teaching

This package is part of the initiative E-Books.NRW²⁶ (German press release), funded by the Ministry of Culture and Science of the Land of North Rhine-Westphalia and coordinated by the German Library Service Centre (hbz). The aim of the initiative is the permanent expansion of digital teaching and research resources.

In addition to the Springer packages, a number of other publishers' offerings have already been activated as part of the initiative:
