Searching for newspapers
Find out here how you can tell whether the USL holds a certain newspaper and, if so, how many issues and in what format.
We keep newspapers as hard copies or on microfilm. Many newspapers are also available as e-papers.
Hardcopy newspapers
If the newspaper is held as a hard copy, make a note of the shelf mark and either fill in a borrowing request or email the Loan Department (leihstelle@ulb.uni-bonn.de). Our staff will then find the correct volume of the newspaper for you and bring it to the second basement floor for you to consult.
Reproductions of individual articles
Chargeable reproductions of individual articles can be requested via our Digitization service.
Newspapers on microfilm
If the newspaper is available on microfilm, order the relevant roll of film to the reading room. To obtain paper copies of an article, book a workspace with a microfilm scanner in the information center.
