The research database SciFinder will switch its authentication to Shibboleth on December 2, 2024.
Members of the University of Bonn will have to verify their identity with their Uni-ID after this date.

First login via Shibboleth

When you log in for the first time, the database provider CAS will check if you already have an account in SciFinder.

  • If you already have an account, you will have to confirm your existing account once. Then you can work in SciFinder as usual.
  • If you do not have an account, you have to register once. Click the blue access button to be forwarded to the registration page.

SciFinder - also known as SciFinder-n or SciFinder Discovery Platform - formerly known as SciFinder Scholar, is a large-scale chemistry database.

It provides a comprehensive collection of information on organic and inorganic compounds and includes integrated access to CAPlus, CAS Registry, CASREACT, CHEMLIST, and CHEMCATS, all provided by Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS). MEDLINE, provided by the U.S. National Library of Medicine, is also integrated.
