We are pleased to announce that we have successfully renewed the Citavi license through 12/31/2025.

In order to renew your Citavi license, you will need to confirm your membership with the University of Bonn once.

Update your Citavi license

To renew Citavi 6 or other Citavi versions, please follow the instructions below.

1. Log in to your Citavi account linked to the campus license at https://citaviweb.citavi.com.
   1. Under "Continue with university" and "My university" select Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn and log in with your Uni-ID.
2. Switch to your profile by clicking on your picture in the upper right corner (between "Switch language" and "Help").
3. In the navigation on the left, go to "Licenses".

There are two ways to proceed:

Option 1:

1. If you already see the new “Citavi Desktop & Web Bundle” with a duration until 12/31/2025, please select it.
2. In the right-hand column you will be asked to confirm your membership at the University of Bonn.
3. Follow the link.
   • You may have to log in to Shibboleth if you have not already done so during your browser session.
   • There may be longer loading times until you are redirected to your profile. If you continue to see a blank screen, please reload the page.
4. Your license has now been successfully extended.

Option 2:

1. In the center of the bottom of the screen, select "New License" and then select "Get Your Site License" for Citavi Version 6 or "Request a license key for a previous version" for Citavi 5 or older.
2. Search for and select "Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn".
   • You may need to log in to Shibboleth if this has not already been done during the browser session.
   • You may experience longer loading times before being redirected to your profile. If you continue to see a blank screen, please reload the page.
3. Your license has now been successfully extended.
