As of October 15th, 2024, a new version of the Database Information System (DBIS) is available. With an updated design and improved user interface, navigation is now more intuitive. For the first time, DBIS is also available in English, which is especially beneficial for international users.

DBIS Features

DBIS helps students, researchers, and educators quickly find the databases relevant to their research. It shows which databases are freely accessible, licensed by the University of Bonn, or restricted. The subject index allows users to easily navigate through the most important databases in a particular field. There is also a search function that allows you to locate specific databases directly.

Background on the Update

The new version of DBIS was developed as part of a project funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). In cooperation with more than 370 libraries, mainly from German-speaking countries, the University Library of Regensburg has further developed the system to better meet the needs of its users. The new DBIS allows flexible search configuration and supports precise selection of appropriate academic resources.

Due to the migration, you may still encounter occasional technical difficulties when using DBIS. If you experience serious or recurring errors, please contact us at the e-mail address provided. We will gladly pass on your feedback.
